BRUSCHETTA WITH TOMATOES AND BASIL



The classic and most widespread version of bruschetta, with tomatoes and basil, has easily become one of the most beloved appetizers worldwide, and its recipe is simple. However, to prepare your own bruschetta with tomatoes and basil, you'll need quality ingredients. Precisely because their secret lies in simplicity, the ingredients must be top-notch.


You can use Italian ciabatta or simply slices of homemade sourdough bread.


Drizzle the bread slices with a bit of fragrant olive oil. Then season them with a pinch of salt and pepper, and place them in the oven until golden and crispy.


After removing them from the oven, rub each slice with a clove of garlic.


Meanwhile, dice the fresh tomatoes, season them with salt and pepper, add the chopped basil, and mix everything thoroughly.


Using a spoon, scoop some of the tomato mixture and place it on the toasted bread slices. Drizzle everything with extra virgin olive oil, and bite into the crunchy slice with relish: sometimes, the simplicity of summer on a plate means bruschetta with tomatoes and basil!
